Ordering pizza on the web? Or by texting from your mobile phone? Papa John's has decided to implement ordering by text message to 2700 of its locations, while Domino's is offering a web based ordering system to 3000 locations.
With these new options offered, these companies hope to reach out to the younger demographic which tend to be more tech savvy and mobile phone reliant. Both companies hold a smaller share than the Pizza Hut brand. Customers of Papa John's texting service are also asked if they want to receive text alerts with coupons or other special offers. The company is expecting a large number of people to accept this service.
