For all those who can't use windows vista, or just do not want too. Here is service pack 3 which will increase overall speed on windows xp. If you are not to familiar with previous service packs, they have decreased performance as holes and patches were applied/fixed. It is a first, to see a service pack that will increase performance. I must say that Windows XP is much more reliable and faster than Windows Vista. I just bought a brand new Compaq laptop with Vista Home Basic a month ago and it's slow as hell to for the OS to start. Sure, I'm running it with 512mb of ram and an Intel Celeron core solo processor, but when I "upgraded" to XP Pro, it now runs 10x faster! Plus, ALL of my programs work!!!
I strongly advise not to upgrade to Vista
