The iPod or iPhone you use everyday can be exposing you to toxic chemicals. When it comes to the iPod, the ear buds that come with the iPod have phthalates which are plasticizers that make the ear buds chord flexible. The ear buds' chord contains high amounts of phthalates; phthalates are on the banned substance list in California. The iPhone itself contains high amounts of phthalates and bromide, another potentially harmful chemical, within the phone. Whether the chemicals that Apple's products contain are toxic or not to people is unclear. However, the Center of Environmental Health has brought a lawsuit against Apple for having these chemicals in its products.

That video was hilarious. It seems like the news show was really stretching the lawsuit to try and create buzz for viewers. The news anchor actually said, “No human trial shows they are harmful but they are worried about it none the less.” I laughed out loud when I heard that. Media is always trying to scare people into ratings. Good stuff.
yes, that's what I was thinking. It felt as if they were telling the story just because they needed a story.
