Blah, Blah, Blah, and Blog

I read an article on Wired's website about how blogging is and was way more popular before and after the dot.com boom. It continues to talk about how some bloggers are fake wannabe writers and some don't have a life that all they do is talk about their day, what they ate, or who they saw. Blogging is basically like expressing your thought whether it is on politics, news, or even just your personal life. It cannot be limited to just this or just that, but some feel that bloggers are just wasting other people's time.

Sure, say if I blogged about getting a kick-ass meal at Chick-Fil-A, the majority of you guys wouldn't care. But if a movie or music star posted their meals, then his/her page would get a lot of hits. Blogging is somewhat like a Myspace or Live Journal site - you need to get popular in order to be popular. Some express their views in a very artistic way, but most post blah. But with experience and the right connections, they too can gain that popularity.

I believe that this technique is one way to vent. Even though I don't really care about it (because I vent from talking to friends), I do believe it's a way to take out stress or anger in life. What I do feel is that they are wasting their time for blogging. Maybe they should try getting a girlfriend/boyfriend. So, my conclusion is that blogging produces BLAH!

Here's the site where I got the article from: http://www.wired.com/culture/lifestyle/news/2002/02/50443

It's true that there are a lot of blah. But beyond this, it is still an effective channel for you to find interesting things and meet interesting people. Otherwise it cannot be that popular.
