" The next frontier is wireless--wireless power, that is. eCoupled makes it happen in the car. "
"Wireless charging, a way of juicing up your gadgets and devices that involves no plugs or cords, is one of those things that people breathlessly talk about when discussing the future of technology. It's seen as a far-off, pie-in-the-sky idea. Well, guess what? It's coming a lot sooner than you think.
WildCharge, one of the many companies working on such technology, is releasing their first product in a mere month. A small pad, it'll allow you to simply place items like you phone and music player on it and get charged without needing to deal with adapters or cables. The only hangup now is waiting for device makers to start building wireless charging into their products. Look for new phones and other devices to start coming with it in the next few months, and then you can say goodbye to cable clutter for good"
Nice.. Wireless charger for any of mobile devices. I am sure those wireless frequencies are strong enough to get you some cancers.

Now that's very cool! I have a Zune, Treo, iPod, and a Sanyo Katana, and only having 1 charger to charge all at once is a definite must have. It would be even better if they offer it for the automobile.
ReplyDeleteThe only question I have for it: How does it affect battery life?
I think all car charges or wireless chargers would hurt batteries.
ReplyDeleteYou got all in one charger? Where did you get that? I have power charger issues. There are too many wires.
