The COO’s answer was justified due to the fact that the idea presented did not reflect the “low cost strategy” of the company. While the new system idea would save costs, it was not clearly stated in the presentation. The main thing to learn from the answer the COO gave is that an implementation of a new system must be in line with the company’s goals and strategies not just on making money.
