Blogosphere Conduct

http://crofsblogs.typepad.com/ckbetas/2007/04/good_manners_on.html

The link is to an article that refers to the limitless web environment which opens the need to design a blogger code for blogosphere conduct. Some recommendations for the code is that bloggers ban anonymous messages and have the freedom to delete rude, "threatening, and libelous comments."
I think for a blogger code to be developed and legally enforced it would require several difficult steps. First a consensus would have to be reached on what is civil behavior online. Then user agreements would have to be carefully and thoroughly written and then uploaded for users to accept them to be authorized to participate in a blog. Without a proper user agreement blogsites would risk lawsuits for censorship for deleting entries.
Though a difficult task, I certainly would not mind that a bit of civility and politeness be expected when participating in professional, educational, and non for profit blogsites.
