Blogging goes mainstream

Once considered a passing trend, blogging is becoming one of the new fastest growing internet phenomenons. It is still used by a small percentage of passionate underground users but is quickely becoming more mainstream. The trick to its success will be figuring out how to package it.

It's growing success is largely due to its inexpensive, easy nature. It is designed in such a way that most anyone is able to create an outlet which allows them to express their viewpoint on any topic imaginable. This means that anyone from developing teenagers wishing to discuss current trends in fasion or their latest piercing, to business professionals wanting to exchange corporate stories are using blogs as their tool of choice.

The growth of bloggings popularity means potential dollars for advertisers. Since specific blogs usually attract a specific demographic of users, it becomes easy for advertisers to target their potential clients in the correct blog.
